CCC Membership Discount
Active, contributing members of Community Christian Church will receive a weekly tuition reduction of $10.00. Active and contributing members are defined as parents whose attendance at a majority of the worship services as CCC and who’s contribution there may be considered equal or greater to the total amount of the Nicaea Academy discount received by the family.

Holiday/Vacation Discounts
School Vacation
Nicaea Academy is open year-round, closing only on select Holidays and Christmas week, December 21st-25th 2009. (For a complete list of holidays observed by the Academy, see Calendar.) During the Christmas week vacation, only 50% of regular tuition shall be due. No other discounts shall be given for school holidays.

Personal Vacation (Pre-school)
At Nicaea Academy, we recognize the need for certain scheduled (or occasionally) unscheduled vacation periods throughout the school year. Pre-school only: two vacation weeks a year are allowed at a charge of 50% of the tuition price. Where possible, we ask that parents provide advance notice of any scheduled vacation periods. No discount, however, shall apply to vacation periods of less than one (1) week. No refunds or partial payments shall be allowed in the event of hurricanes or other natural disasters.

Financial Responsibility
Notice of Withdrawal. Upon enrollment of a student by Nicaea Academy, classroom space for that student has been reserved for the entire school year. Consequently, in the event of withdrawal of a student from Nicaea Academy , a minimum of one (1) week’s written Notice of Intent to Withdraw is required in order to fill the vacancy. Failure to give proper notice shall result in an additional one-week’s tuition charge. Any balance due the school shall be paid in full prior to the student’s withdrawal. Failure to pay an outstanding balance may result in the school withholding student records until such balance is paid in full.

Explanation of Fees

• Application Fee (New Students Only): $50.00 All new students only.

• International students:  $100.00

Registration Fee (All Students):

• A Registration Fee is due upon enrollment. This non-refundable fee reserves space for the next school year and provides for student insurance, administrative cost, bookkeeping, and provision of the school’s informative quarterly newsletter.

Pre-School: $130.00 per week, per child. For children not yet toilet trained, add $10.00 per week.

• Financial Aid/ Tuition Assistance

• Nicaea provides direct support for a limited number of students.

• Tuition assistance up to a full scholarship is available from State of Florida.  Step up for Students www.stepupforstudents.org and the McKay Scholarships (ESE students).

Other Fees

• Book Fees: A charge of $75.00 per child (toddler through K-4) is due upon enrollment or of each successive school year (August 24, 2009). This fee is for the provision of books, workbooks and materials. (For K-5 and above, see office.)

• Uniforms are required for grade school students.  See school office or Uniforms Unlimited icon on this website.

• Graduation Fees: Each family with a graduating student will be billed $64.00 in May.

• Field Trip Fees: Parents will be notified in advance, in writing, of any off-property student field trips and/or social or recreational programs in which additional fees may be charged.
  Participation in such programs by the student is optional. Fees vary depending upon the event.

• After School Care: After school care is provided to full-time students of Nicaea Academy to students 18 mos. – K4, inclusively, at no additional cost. After School care is provided students K5-12th grade at a charge of $200.00 per month, and is billed separately in order to provide parents tax relief available by law. After School Care and limited bus service is also available to students between our North and South campus only.

• Program Fees: Nicaea Academy may present special school programs throughout the school year in which additional fees may, or may not, be required. Where required, any associated fees will be announced, in writing, in advance of the scheduled program.

• Fund Raisers & Charity Drives: Fund raisers and charity drives for the school or other worthy charitable organizations may be conducted throughout the school year. Participation in these events is discretionary.

Late Payment
Late charges may be assessed in the event of late payment or low payment of tuition, or in the event of failure to pick up the student by regular closing hours. The following late charges will/may apply:

• A $10.00 late charge will be assessed in the event weekly tuition
  is not received by Monday evening.

• A $1.00 late charge may apply for each additional minute the
  school must remain open in the event of failure to pick up a student
  by regular closing hours.

• A $50.00 charge will be assessed on all returned checks and a
  late fee may be assessed.

• Students with unpaid balances over thirty days will not be allowed
  to attend classes until a satisfactory arrangement has been made
  with the Business Office.

Fee structures and payment policies are subject to change, with or without notice, at the Academy’s discretion.
